3 Cups Drawing

In my 3 cups drawing I drew my water bottle, a paint bottle, and a pot. My drawing I had good composition. One thing I think I did really well in my drawing was dealing with spacing. I did this drawing in graphite pencil. This piece helped me practice the 4 parts of composition. I think my drawing turned out really well for only having a little time.

Line Quality  Drawing

This is my line quality drawing. I used a display of lots of different objects and put them all on a table. After this I focused on one part of the objects. The things I used for this drawing was  my pencil drawing eraser and tissues to create shadow and good contrast. I did a good job of showing the shadows and showing the light and dark points in the drawing. I used all 4 kinds of  lines to create this drawing. It was challenging drawing in the dark but I did a pretty god job for my first time.

Still Life Drawing

This is my Still life drawing. In this drawing I took three days to show Da vinci's six parts of light, height of the bases, and overall a good composition. I drew my water bottle, my team swim cap, and my googles. My art work is a reflection of me and my hobby, swimming. This drawing helped me work on my shading, and my value scale as far as where to use the dark's and lights in my drawing. The hardest part of my drawing was the bulldog but I think I did a good job on this drawing.

1- Point Perspective Drawing

This is my  One Point Perspective Drawing. I choose to draw the pool because as a swimmer  I look at this pool almost every day and I though it would be a good challenge. In this drawing I took 3 days to draw the high school swimming pool. I  did a good job on showing the full value scale in this drawing. I started by drawing a vanishing point and made sure that my vertical and horizontal lines matched up with the vanishing point if they needed to. One of my favorite parts of this drawing is the shadows and reflection of the water and the lights .

Self- Portrait Drawing

This is my Self- Portrait. I used a pencil to shade in my face and background. This drawing took me 2 days plus a night at home to finish and overall I'm happy with how it looks I spent a lot of time looking in the mirror and really focusing on the details of my face. I had a difficult time with the nose and the hair. It was really hard to get my portrait to look like a person let alone look like me. I think I did a really good job on my eyes and using the 10 shades. If I could change one thing i would go back and work on my face shape and my mouth. My drawing looks like I'm not smiling and I would like to figure put how to make myself look more up beat and happy.

2 Point Perspective Drawing

This is my 2 point perspective drawing. It took me 4 days to finish my drawing after trying to fine an idea when this popped into my head. I am really happy with how the board turned out. If I could change one thing about my drawing a would add more value and think of a more creative way to incorporate the human anatomy element of the drawing. I think I did a good job on having a clear 2 vanishing point and a good set of values. One thing I think i could work on is my eye brow drawing abilities and hands. I enjoyed drawing this drawing and I think overall I did a good job even though I struggled to come up with an idea at first.

Grey Paper Drawing

This is my grey paper drawing. I really enjoyed using charcoal instead of graphite because I liked that it was a pop of color. I also really liked the picture that I choose. I used a good use of light source to showed the highlights on the body. I am really happy with how this drawing turned out. If I could change one thing I would have worked on the  background more by adding some lights and darks. I am excited to do another grey paper drawing.

Choice Drawing

This is my choice drawing. I choose to do this drawing on all black paper only using a blending stick and my white charcoal  pencil. This drawing was a bit of a challenge for me to try and get everything to look how it did in the picture. If I could spend more time on this drawing and fix it I would definitely work on my hands since they look like potato. I choose this drawing to try and challenge myself. I enjoyed working with the all black paper. I wish overall I would have started this sooner so that it would have turned out better but I am not upset with the ending.
